Amazon October Prime Day Deal: 512GB Nintendo Switch Memory Card for $44 (SanDisk Ultra Micro SDXC)

Apr 27, 2024

The Amazon Prime Early Access Sale has an incredible deal on a SanDisk Ultra 512GB Micro SDXC card. It retails for a whopping $99.99, but today you can get it for only $43.99. According to our data, this is the first time the 512GB model has ever dropped under $45.

Note that this deal requires an Amazon Prime membership. Make sure you're logged into your Amazon Prime account. If you do not have Prime and you don't want to pay for an annual fee, then just pay for the 1-month membership for $14.99.

Nintendo Switch Compatible

This is great news for Nintendo Switch gamers because this memory card is fully compatible with the Switch, Switch Lite, and Switch OLED gaming consoles. If you've started compiling a collection of digital games, you probably already know just how limited the Switch's base storage capacity. With only 32GB of starting space (and some of it reserved for the OS), you'll barely fit The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Pokemon Sword or Shield, which tap out at 13.5GB each! There's only one expansion slot in the Switch console so you want to make sure you get the biggest card you can afford.

The SanDisk Ultra model is more than fast enough for the Switch. If you upgrade to something faster like the SanDisk Extreme, you're just wasting your money. There are also Nintendo branded memory cards; the only difference is the graphic on the card itself (it's even made by SanDisk, the same company), and that won't even matter since you won't see it when it's installed. If you're still interested in getting one of those for other reasons, like for example getting the SanDisk Extreme in order to record uninterrupted 4K video from your smartphone, then fortunately for you they're on sale as well.

The Switch isn't the only gaming system that accepts this Micro SDXC card. If you're a Steam Deck owner, you can also use this card, especially if you picked up the 64GB storage option. This deal may come around on Black Friday, but we highly doubt that it will be any cheaper. You might as well get it now and never worry about running out of space again.
